Chandigarh Tricity

Hotel & Guest WiFi in Chandigarh,
Mohali, Panchkula & Zirakpur

iberry surveys, installs and then manages guest WiFi for hotels, resorts and offices across the tricity - captive portal, cloud AAA login, PMS and voucher access - with engineers based in Sector 118, Mohali.

A local installer, not just a login page

Most guest WiFi problems in a tricity hotel are not exotic. The signal dies in the far wing, the whole property shares one password that the last guest has already given away, one room streaming at night slows everyone else down, and nobody can say afterwards who was on the network. Those are four different problems - coverage, authentication, policy and accounting - and a router bought off a shelf solves none of them.

iberry handles all four as one job: the physical survey and installation, then the cloud AAA platform that authenticates each guest, applies their limits and keeps the record. The software runs on standard MikroTik RouterOS hardware rather than a proprietary appliance, so the equipment stays replaceable. If you are still comparing vendors, the hotel WiFi software buyer’s guide sets out what to check before you sign anything.

What makes the tricity different from the rest of our coverage is simply distance. The office is in Mohali, so a survey is a drive rather than a flight, and so is the visit when something needs replacing.

What an iberry installation includes

The same scope whether it is a 20-room highway hotel or a multi-property group.

📶

Survey, cabling and access points

An engineer walks the property, plans coverage room by room, and installs or corrects the cabling and access points. Guest WiFi complaints are usually a coverage problem long before they are a software problem.

🔑

Captive portal and guest login

Guests join the open network and log in on the portal: room number and surname checked against the PMS, a printed PIN or QR voucher, or an SMS one-time password. PMS access expires at checkout on its own.

☁️

Cloud AAA, nothing to host

Authentication, policy and reporting run in the iberry cloud and reach the property's router over an encrypted tunnel. There is no server in the back office for the hotel to patch or back up.

🚦

Per-guest speed and data limits

Download and upload caps per device, data volume caps, session time limits and a device count per room, so one guest streaming cannot flatten the connection for the rest of the property.

📊

Records of who was online

Live sessions and connection history per user and per device, kept available to the property. A hotspot operator in India is expected to be able to answer that question; a shared WiFi password cannot.

🧑‍🔧

Support that can reach the router

Day to day the network is managed remotely through the tunnel - which still works when the guest-facing side has failed - and an engineer attends site when the fault needs hands on it.

Where we work

Installation and on-site support across the tricity; remote management anywhere in India.

Chandigarh

Hotels, guest houses and offices across the sectors and the IT Park. iberry's firewall and hotspot system is in use at Chandigarh International Airport and, in retail, at VR Punjab.

Mohali (SAS Nagar)

Our own office is at TDI Business Centre, Sector 118, so Mohali properties - including The Best Western Hotel - are the shortest call-out we have.

Panchkula

Hotels, banquet venues and corporate offices across the sectors and the industrial area, run from the same cloud dashboard as the rest of a group's properties.

Zirakpur & Dera Bassi

The highway hotel and service-apartment belt, where fast turnover and walk-in guests make PIN and QR voucher login worth having. Swan Hotel, Zirakpur is an iberry site.

Kharar & New Chandigarh

Newer hotels, PGs and student accommodation, where per-user speed and data caps matter more than raw bandwidth.

Frequently asked questions

Do you install the WiFi yourself in Chandigarh and Mohali?

Yes. iberry is based at TDI Business Centre, Sector 118, Mohali, and our own engineers do the site survey, the cabling and access point placement, and the router and hotspot configuration across Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur and Kharar. Support afterwards is a mix of remote management and a visit when the fault needs hands on site.

How quickly can a property in the tricity be online?

For a property that already has usable cabling and access points, the hotspot, captive portal and cloud AAA side is normally configured and live the same day. Where the wireless has to be surveyed, cabled and installed first, the timeline is set by that work rather than by the software.

Do you support hotels outside the tricity?

Yes. The platform is managed from the cloud, so a property anywhere in India can be run remotely, and iberry already manages sites beyond Punjab. What is specific to the tricity is how fast an engineer can physically reach the building.

Do guests have to remember a WiFi password?

No. Guests join the open network and log in through the captive portal - by room number and surname checked against the PMS, a printed PIN or QR voucher, or an SMS one-time password. PMS access ends automatically at checkout instead of staying open.

Does this keep the hotel compliant with Indian logging expectations?

iberry records who logged in, when, and from which device, and keeps that history available to the property. A hotspot operator in India is expected to be able to answer that question, and a shared password on a consumer router cannot.
