Southeast Asia

Hotel & Guest WiFi in Southeast Asia

For hotels, resorts, hostels and hotspot operators in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia - a branded login, fair sharing per guest, a record of every session, and a network run remotely by iberry.

How it works from India

Your router or controller at the property - MikroTik, TP-Link Omada or Ubiquiti UniFi - connects to the iberry cloud over an encrypted tunnel. The cloud runs the login page, checks every login, applies each guest's speed, data and time limits and records the session. A local installer fits the cabling and access points to our plan; iberry configures, monitors and changes everything remotely. India is UTC+5:30, so our working day overlaps most of yours (Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia UTC+7; the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore UTC+8).

Support is in English. Guest data is hosted in India, which matters under the data protection laws below - take local advice on cross-border transfer for your property.

Country by country

Philippines

Hotels, resorts and dive lodges from Manila and Cebu to Boracay, Palawan and Siargao. Telecoms are regulated by the NTC; personal data by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the National Privacy Commission. SMS OTP via Globe, Smart and DITO is confirmed per property; vouchers work from day one. Island resorts: see island resort WiFi.

Malaysia

City hotels in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, resorts in Langkawi and Sabah. Regulator: MCMC; personal data: the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. SMS routes via Maxis, CelcomDigi and U Mobile confirmed per property.

Singapore

Hotels, serviced apartments and co-living. Regulator: IMDA; personal data: the PDPA 2012 and the PDPC. Many Singapore properties run a PMS that can be linked for room-and-surname login. See PMS WiFi integration.

Thailand

Bangkok hotels, Phuket, Pattaya, Samui and Chiang Mai resorts and hostels. Regulator: NBTC; personal data: the PDPA (B.E. 2562). Thailand's Computer-Related Crime Act expects service providers to keep traffic data, generally for at least 90 days - per-guest session records are how a hotel meets that. SMS via AIS and True confirmed per property.

Vietnam

Hotels and resorts in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang and Hoi An. Vietnam's personal data rules and its cybersecurity law include data localisation requirements in some cases - check with local counsel before keeping guest data outside Vietnam. SMS via Viettel, VinaPhone and MobiFone confirmed per property.

Cambodia and Laos

Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Luang Prabang and Vientiane hotels and guesthouses. Voucher login is the usual starting point; SMS routes and PMS links are confirmed per property.

Indonesia has its own page in Bahasa Indonesia: WiFi hotel Indonesia.

Frequently asked questions

Can you manage hotel WiFi in the Philippines or Thailand from India?

Yes. The property's router or controller connects to the iberry cloud and is configured, monitored and changed remotely. A local installer fits the hardware to our plan; on-site work by iberry engineers is in India only.

Which equipment do you support?

MikroTik RouterOS, TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti UniFi - usually bought locally from a distributor in your country.

Can guests log in with Facebook or email?

No. Logins are by room and surname, voucher, PIN or SMS OTP. iberry does not capture guests' social media or email for marketing.

Where is guest data stored?

On iberry's servers in India. Check the cross-border transfer rules of your country's data protection law (and Vietnam's localisation rules) with local counsel before you start.

What does it cost?

Projects outside India are quoted individually, because the hardware is bought locally. Send the country, room count and floor plan.
