iberry Cloud AAA

Cloud AAA WiFi
& RADIUS Hotspot Authentication

iberry gives every guest and user on your WiFi a secure login, the right access limits and a complete usage record - Authentication, Authorization and Accounting, managed from the cloud.

What is AAA for WiFi?

AAA stands for Authentication, Authorization and Accounting. It is the framework that decides who may join a WiFi network, what they are allowed to do once connected, and records what they used. On a hotel, campus or enterprise hotspot, AAA is what turns an open wireless network into a controlled, accountable service. RADIUS is the protocol most WiFi equipment uses to talk to the AAA server.

The iberry WiFi platform is built on MikroTik RouterOS hotspot and RADIUS, with the policy and the records kept in the iberry cloud dashboard. Each property's router stays connected to the iberry cloud over an encrypted WireGuard tunnel, so logins, limits and usage are managed centrally instead of router by router.

Authentication, Authorization & Accounting

The three parts of AAA, as the iberry cloud delivers them.

πŸ”

Authentication

Guests sign in through a branded captive portal using the method that suits the property: a room number and PIN, a printed QR code card that connects in one scan, a one-time password sent by SMS to their mobile, or a login verified against the hotel's PMS.

βš–οΈ

Authorization

Every login carries its own policy: speed profiles, data caps, time limits, a free daily allowance that resets at midnight, and automatic expiry at checkout. Individual devices can be blocked or allowed straight through when needed.

πŸ“Š

Accounting

Live sessions, data used per room or guest, login history and guest contact records are kept for every property, so you can see exactly who used the WiFi, when, and how much.

Why run WiFi AAA in the iberry cloud

One dashboard, many properties

Hotel groups and multi-site businesses manage every location's WiFi logins and limits from a single iberry account.

Encrypted cloud connection

Routers reach the iberry cloud over WireGuard, with tunnel health monitored continuously so a lost link is spotted and repaired quickly.

Hotel PMS integration

Guest WiFi access follows the stay: accounts are created for arriving guests and expire when they check out.

Resilient internet

Failover and load balancing across multiple ISP links keep the hotspot online when one connection drops.
